About Me

Hi!

I'm a Latina, Bilingual, and Bicultural Clinical Mental Health Counselor graduated from the University of San Diego. I am a licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in the state of New Hampshire and am passionate about this field. I was born and raised in Brazil and have been living in the United States for over 10 years.

My passion for mental health started early in my childhood when I used to volunteer with my family in supporting an orphanage in my hometown. Since then I have been engaged with people in crisis both in Brazil and the US in many different ways, and learned the true value of kindness and compassion as well as the importance of social justice. I am also passionate about working with the refugee and immigrant population and during my masters program, I volunteered at Survivors of Torture, International in San Diego, which is was a deeply valuable experience. Currently, I volunteer as a Foster Youth Mentor at the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services and I have been learning so much.

Above all, I believe in the importance and power of kindness and my main goal is for clients to feel heard, seen, and a sense of belonging. "The human in me sees the human in you" is a quote I like to use to remind us that our humanity is what connects us.

Outside of work, there are many ways in which I like to decompress and ground myself. Some of these activities include cooking recipes from home, connecting with nature, swimming, mindfulness, photography, and spending quality time with family and friends. I am also an animal and plant lover!

At work I am known for being a party planner as I like to celebrate my colleague's birthdays and achievements.
