Group Therapy, Trainings & Outreach

I have experience developing and running a diverse range of groups including psycho-educational and support groups, workshops for mental health awareness and community building, mindfulness classes & retreats, trainings for faculty, staff, and students, and outreach events to the campus community to increase mental health awareness and well-being.

When working within a higher education setting, I believe it is important to collaborate with different departments on campus in order to reach a diverse population of students. I have collaborated with several different departments including the Dreamer Resource Center, International Student Office, Office of Pluralism and Leadership, and the Disability Support Programs and Services as a way to better connect and reach students.
I also have experience providing Suicide Prevention and Crisis Intervention trainings to faculty, staff, and students in order to assist individuals in identifying a person in crisis, utilizing effective communication skills, and referring the person in crisis to the appropriate mental health resources.

Additionally, I have enjoyed participated in organizing creative outreach events to the campus community as means to increase community building, mental health awareness, and access to resources.

Above, you may find examples of flyers I have designed for groups, outreach events, workshops, and trainings.
